Role description:
As part of a BI team, you support BI Analysts and work closely with the TEC Data teams to provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, to turn data into information and knowledge.
Required Responsibilities:
You work with Wholesale business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these requirements into robust and scalable data solutions, analysis and reporting
You complete and structure the data in order to build a Power BI data model to provide the business with the relevant dashboards and insights they require
You critically examine the different source data available within the Datawarehouse. You create data quality tickets where needed. You actively maintain the quality of metadata repository/data dictionary
You identify new data sources and make sure they become available in the Datawarehouse/Data Lake. You define the detailed requirements and manage the requests towards the TEC data teams
You track and report out on issues and requests status
You structure the data into DataMart’s using best practices in order to optimize their user friendliness and reusability. You consolidate and clean existing DataMart’s according to guidelines from TEC data teams
You maintain the necessary contacts with the data architects and the Datawarehouse team so that you understand the underlying data flows for your datamarts and the latest evolutions in the BI domain
You troubleshoot reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies
You ensure adherence to Proximus processes, policies and standards and document your work
You work on highly complex and cross-functional use cases, using data in different formats and from various platforms
You implement tools and frameworks for automating report generation and identification of data-quality issues
You create scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation
Degree & Experience:
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics... or equivalent work experience with specialized training/certification
5+ years of experience supporting or working with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments
Knowledge of the ICT industry
Technical skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL (Teradata /Oracle) - to be used in a business intelligence context
Strong knowledge of Power BI Modelling & Report Building and DAX
Strong knowledge of database management and data warehousing
Knowledge of Big Data tools (Python, Spark)
Knowledge of Linux / Windows server (connection, folder creation, software installation, creation of ODBC connections, work in client-server environment, IT infrastructure (support groups, admin rights)
