Compliance Engineer

Position Title: Compliance Engineer - Voice Domain

Department: Converged Voice Platforms (CVP) / CCS

Location: Brussels

Reports To: Domain/Team Manager, CCS/MST

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Compliance Engineer to lead the closure of NIS2 and ISO27001 compliance gaps in the Voice domain. This role is critical to ensuring that our fixed, mobile and interconnect voice services meet evolving European cybersecurity standards and internal audit requirements. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess risks, implement controls, and maintain compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Gap Closure & Compliance Implementation

Lead the execution of remediation plans identified through NIS2 and ISO27001 gap analyses.

Coordinate with internal audit teams and external assessors to ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

VoLTE Platform Security

Collaborate with Voice engineering teams to integrate security controls into the different network elements of the Voice network architecture.

Support penetration testing activities and ensure findings are addressed effectively.

Documentation & Reporting

Setup and maintain up-to-date compliance documentation and asset inventories.

Prepare audit-ready evidence and contribute to reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the point of contact for compliance-related queries within the voice domain.

Liaise with security officers, vendors, service owners, platform managers, and regulatory advisors to align on compliance priorities.

Continuous Improvement

Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies accordingly.

Promote awareness and training on NIS2 and ISO27001 standards across the Voice team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Security, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom engineering or cybersecurity compliance.

Proven experience with ISO27001 implementation and audit processes.

Familiarity with NIS2 directive and its implications for telecom infrastructure.

Understanding of VoLTE , Vowifi, VoNR, 2G voice services, IMS and interconnect platforms, including telecom protocols is a plus.

Strong analytical, presentation, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
