Role Overview:
The End-to-End Process Owner for S2P is accountable for the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the Source-to-Pay process across the organization and technologies.
S2P covers following sub-processes:
Sourcing:
Supplier identification and evaluation
Request for quotation (RFQ) and tendering
Contract negotiation and creation
Contract Management:
Authoring, approval, and lifecycle management of supplier contracts
Compliance tracking and renewal alerts
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
Purchase requisition and order creation
Goods receipt and service entry
Invoice verification and payment processing
This role plays a pivotal part in SAP implementation and transformation projects, ensuring that business requirements are accurately reflected in system design and that the process delivers value across Finance, Procurement and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Design & Ownership
Define and maintain the global S2P process aligned with SAP best practices
Ensure harmonization and standardization of S2P processes across business units.
Own the process documentation, including process maps, controls, and KPIs.
2. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation, digitization (e.g., e-invoicing, OCR), and process simplification.
Monitor industry trends and SAP innovations (e.g., AI in invoice matching, predictive procurement).
Drive pilot initiatives and proof-of-concepts to test new technologies or process enhancements.
3. Functional Design Board Participation
Represent the S2P domain in the Functional Design Board.
Review and approve functional design proposals, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with IT and SAP consultants to validate feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.
Consolidate & prioritize requirements in the backlog
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the key liaison between Finance, Procurement, Logistics and IT teams.
Facilitate workshops and working groups to gather requirements and drive consensus.
5. Change Management
Lead change impact assessments for S2P-related changes.
Support communication and training efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
Act as a change champion, promoting process discipline and SAP system usage.
6. Data Management
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across S2P master and transactional data (e.g., vendor master, PO data, invoice records).
Collaborate with data management teams to define data standards and cleansing strategies.
Support data migration and validation activities during SAP implementation.
7. Governance & Compliance
Ensure S2P processes comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and external regulations (e.g., VAT, SOX).
Define and monitor KPIs such as PO compliance, invoice cycle time, and payment accuracy.
Support internal and external audits with process documentation and evidence.
8. Process/System implementation
Define & mobilize adequate capacity/resources to execute projects through different phases: design/build/test/Go Live.
Validate proposed designed solution, by checking that all S2P requirements are fulfilled
Sign off Go Live on S2P related solution
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience in S2P process management, preferably in a multinational environment.
Strong expertise in SAP (S/4HANA preferred), including MM, FI, and integration points.
Experience in large-scale ERP implementations or finance transformation programs.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
