We are looking for a profile that is a mixture of Program/Project Manager and Data Specialist (Data Catalogue Coordinator) with the knowledge of Collibra platform

Seniority level: Medior

Language: EN is mandatory. FR or NL is an asset

Must have: Collibra, Data specific knowledge, EPI, logical models, Tech logical perspective.

Data Catalogue Coordinator/Project Manager:

We are looking for a Data Catalogue Coordinator to join our Data Governance & Compliance team based in Brussels. As a Data Catalogue Coordinator, you will drive the deployment of data governance at Proximus to provide speed and scale in unlocking the value of data. You work in an agile environment to enable our data workers finding, understanding and trusting the data that they need.

This job opening is looking specifically for a talented data-minded professional to organize and coordinate the Data Catalogue and Classification Program.

As part of its data transformation, Proximus invested in setting up a Data Catalogue that must now be filled & curated. This endeavor will involve seeking the collaboration of our many IT domains and their business counterparts in order to capture sufficient documentation of their data assets to make this curated Catalogue a success in meeting various internal needs (e.g. data discovery, compliance, impact analysis.

While we don’t expect the candidate to fill-in descriptions or do arcane computations, being able to prepare content proactively (based on your prior experience with data) for review is a plus.

What you will do

You have the responsibility for the organization, coordination and reporting on the progress of the Data Catalogue and Classification Program:

Identify data stores to catalogue and prioritize them in a backlog according to select priorities

Raise awareness in the teams responsible for the identified data stores and ensure prioritization in their rolling wave planning the necessary efforts to support the program

Coordinate with supporting teams the onboarding in the Data Catalogue of necessary artefacts

Engage in workshops, when necessary, if specific support is needed from supporting teams

Ensure validation of the outcome of the cataloguing activities together with support teams

Report on the progress to various management lines and interest groups

Handle escalations together with Data Governance Center of Excellence

You support the steering of data governance capabilities and processes required to support the program and ensure that they meet the governance principles defined for the group

You are the link between the Data Governance Centre of Excellence and Proximus data workers.

About you

You hold a master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business Engineering or equivalent in experience

You have 1 to 3+ years of working experience in a Data Governance, and / or Project Management role

You have previous experience with Collibra Data Catalogue and Automatic Classification

You enjoy working in a dynamic and Agile environment; familiarity with an Agile project methodology is a plus (Scrum, Kanban)

You are a problem solver and generally proactive towards delivering innovative solutions always keeping your customer’s interests in mind

You have good interpersonal & communication skills and can adapt your communication style to the audience including addressing governance topics with general audiences

You are a strong team player and enjoy working with people of different technical/business backgrounds

You thrive in complex and evolving environments and are pragmatic in reaching your objectives
