AI, Automation & Power Platform Developer

Role description:

As an AI, Automation & Power Platform Developer, you will co-drive the Automation Challenge inside the DESIGN CHAPTER AREA domain. Working closely with the Automation Lead, you will identify, design, and implement smart, secure, and scalable automation solutions that simplify operations, improve user experience, and align with strategic business priorities.

You will develop automation using Microsoft’s Power Platform, Azure services, and various other modern scripting tools, while also contributing creative, forward-thinking ideas. You will bring a developer’s mindset, a data-savvy approach, and a curiosity for emerging technologies like AI, Copilot, and OpenAI integrations.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, navigate diverse stakeholder needs, and help build a culture of automation, learning, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Automation Lead to scope, prioritize, and deliver automation opportunities aligned with chapter strategy.

Understand business processes and pain points; translate them into effective automation solutions.

Co-Design and build solutions using:

Power Automate (Cloud + Desktop/RPA)

Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Pages

Power Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio

Azure Logic Apps, Azure Automation Runbooks

Other required or suggested OpenAI tools

Apply intelligent automation using Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Copilot.

Develop APIs, connectors, and secure integrations using Microsoft Graph and Azure APIs.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.

Implement security best practices (RBAC, Key Vault, DLP policies, managed identities).

Explore and pilot new Microsoft tools and experimental features (e.g., Microsoft Copilot SDK).

Share knowledge, document solutions, and promote reusability across squads.

Degree & Experience:

2 to 3 years of experience in automation, solution development, or technical consulting.

Proven track record in:

Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents)

Azure Logic Apps, Azure Automation, API integration

Scripting (PowerShell, Python) and low-code/no-code development

Working with relational data (Dataverse, SQL, Excel, or SharePoint Lists)

Experience in handling business requirements, agile delivery, and iterative prototyping.

Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Technical skills:

Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse)

Azure services: Logic Apps, Automation Runbooks, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services

Scripting: PowerShell, Python (for automation and data tasks)

APIs: REST APIs, webhooks, Microsoft Graph

DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions (CI/CD experience)

Data: Basic SQL, data modelling, data wrangling

Familiarity with Dataverse security, DLP policies, environment management

Languages:

English (written and spoken) is required.

Dutch and/or French is a strong added value.

Nice to haves:

Microsoft certifications (PL-400, PL-100, AI-900, AZ-204, AZ-104).

Experience building automation governance frameworks or component libraries.

Familiarity with the latest AI tools, prompt engineering, or building with Copilot SDK.

Understanding of UX, service design, or business process mapping.

Location:

We have an office-day policy of minimum 2 days per week in our Brussels office at North Station (Boreal). Occasionally, presence may be required in Evere (second office).
