Role description:

We are seeking an expert in Power BI and dimensional data modelling to support our BI teams.

Working on Business Intelligence within Proximus means:

Understand the business processes and challenges

Translate business analytical needs into data requirements

Explore, understand and combine data from multiple domains

Define and implement structural data models to reduce the time to deliver reports and analysis

Analyse and visualize the data to discover new and meaningful insights

Build dashboards to monitor customer experience and operational performance

Technical Skills:

Expert in Power BI

Proven experience with Data Warehousing environments and proficiency in BI tools.

Advanced knowledge of dimensional data modelling, SQL, and Power BI architecture.

Familiarity with data visualization best practices.

General Competencies:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in an easy and understandable way.

Capability to translate business requirements into efficient data models.

At least 3 years of experience in a relevant domain

You are fluent in Power BI

You have expert knowledge of SQL, Data Warehouse environments and dimensional modelling.

Experience with Teradata is a plus

You consult with both businesses, technical stakeholders and easily bridge between both

You can translate data coming from different complex IT sources into simple data models

You are good at visualizing data and create impactful presentations that make the data speak

You have good communication skills towards both management and operational levels

You look at data from different angles, spontaneously look for patterns and make recommendations based on your findings

You take responsibility, work independent and take initiative to consult the right people

You are fluent in English, and speak Dutch and/or French (with at least a passive understanding of both)
