JC0009 - BI Engineer - Medior
We are looking for a BI/AI Engineer– CRM Analytics (onsite, Brussels, 2 days/week).
Main tasks:
You will be part of the CRM Analytics Squad whose goal is to exploit the databases present in the Proximus DWH (Teradata, Cloudera) to guide the actions of the marketing teams. The team is composed of a mix of people active in BI/Data Science activities and performing different tasks such as segmentation, predictive models’ development, Power BI dashboard, SQL or Python scripting
As an AI Engineer, you will play a fundamental role of support to the Data Scientists: provide data that can be used in the creation of their predictive models, define and maintain framework to store the results of the models, monitor the performance of the models.
You love to manipulate data to extract maximum value and make it usable for your colleagues (feature engineering). For this, it is essential to combine your technical knowledge with the ability to put yourself in the shoes of the customer in order to understand the drivers of their behavior (e.g. buying behavior, churn,) that you try to reproduce through our databases.
You make sure new data that are needed become available in DWH. You launch and follow up on these requests towards the IT department, you help to clarify the requirements
You will develop or support the development of reporting in Power BI; For example, you will be responsible of the existing PBI report that follows the performance of the predictive models.
You will also support the activities of the TV advertising team by creating the needed datamart’s and feeding them into the TV advertising process.
All this means that you will be equally at ease in direct contact with our colleagues from the marketing team to determine requirements (data requirements, report layout to be developed, improvement of business operations) as with more technical people (IT developer) to clearly determine your requirements in terms of data provisioning.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL (Teradata /Oracle) – with experience in a business intelligence context
Strong interest for Predictive Modeling: you will not develop models yourself, but you have a clear interest in the domain
Strong knowledge of database management & Datawarehouse
Knowledge of Big Data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Python, Spark, ..) is a plus
Knowledge of Power BI is a plus

Dutch/English or French/English
Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent in experience) in IT, quantitative analytics, economics, marketing.
Min 5 years of experience in an analytical business environment
