AI, Automation & Power Platform Developer

Role description:

As an AI, Automation & Power Platform Developer, you will co-drive the Automation Challenge inside the DESIGN CHAPTER AREA domain. Working closely with the Automation Lead, you’ll identify, design, and implement smart, secure, and scalable automation solutions that simplify operations, improve user experience, and align with strategic business priorities.

What You’ll Do

As a core member of our automation initiative, you’ll:

Identify, scope, and implement high-impact automation and AI opportunities with the relevant teams.

Develop smart workflows using Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

Prototype and deploy intelligent agents, AI copilots, and autonomous workflows using but not limited to:

OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs

Copilot Studio & SDK

Lang Chain / Semantic Kernel

Python-based orchestration frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, RAG pipelines)

Evaluate and advise on emerging tools: chat agents, task automation, autonomous UI testing, AI-based UX support for designers, etc.

Co-design reusable components and design-first AI/automation patterns for teams.

Contribute to DevOps and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.

Build secure, scalable integrations using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and custom connectors.

Microsoft Foundation (50%)

Power Automate (Cloud + Desktop/RPA), Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents

Azure: Logic Apps, Automation Runbooks, API integration

Microsoft Graph, Dataverse, SharePoint, Excel, SQL

CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub

Security: Key Vault, RBAC, DLP, environment management

Scripting (PowerShell, Python) and low-code/no-code development

Working with relational data (Dataverse, SQL, Excel, or SharePoint Lists)

Experience in handling business requirements, agile delivery, and iterative prototyping.

Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Emerging Tech (50%)

LLMs & AI: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio & SDK

Frameworks: Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel, RAG pipelines

Agentic Tools: Crew AI, AutoGen, Baby AGI (or similar)

Scripting: Python, PowerShell

Integrations: Fast API, webhooks, cloud-native deployment models

Who You Are

A tech-savvy builder fluent in Microsoft tools but hungry to go beyond.

Passionate about AI, LLMs, and emerging automation methods.

Demonstrable* experience in low-code/no-code AND custom development.

Equally comfortable designing solutions from scratch or improving what's already there.

Able to advise others on choosing the right tools, not just the latest.

Requirements

2–3+ years hands-on experience with Power Platform and automation tools.

Proven experience in scripting, API integration, and building scalable workflows.

Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on exploration of new AI tools and frameworks.

Experience in agile environments and iterative design/development processes.

English fluency is required. Dutch/French is a plus.

Nice to Have

Microsoft certifications (PL-400, AI-900, AZ-104, etc.)

Experience with prompt engineering or Copilot SDK

Knowledge of UX/service design or business process mapping

Familiarity with AI ethics, data governance, and security practices

Background in building internal AI tools, assistants, or design copilots

Location & Collaboration

2 days/week minimum in Brussels (North Station – Boreal office)

Occasional presence in Evere office

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across product, design, and automation
