Senior NLP/LLM/AI Expert

As an NLP expert, you will be part of the Customer Care Chapter within the Consumer & Business Unit together with other type of designers. You will also be part of a Guild where you share your expertise and learnings with only NLP designers, but you will mainly work in the Digital Assistant Squad, a multi-disciplinary and agile team responsible for the delivery and implementation of the chatbot and the voice assistant used for sales and after-sales contexts.

You will

Maintain and design the NLP models of the chatbot and the voice assistant.

Look constantly for optimizations to increase the accuracy of the bots.

Detect easily issues and do exhaustive debugging.

Work with the conversation designers. They design bot flows and write the conversational copy so they will need your NLP knowledge to successfully shape bot conversations, your input to improve the logic of existing and upcoming flows and help them with the right intents and entities if any;

Conduct A/B testing to validate model output.

In addition, but certainly not less important, we are actively looking for someone who

Has a strategic view, knowledge and background regarding large-scale NLP and LLM models;

Can design, iterate, and test effective prompt strategies to enhance AI-generated responses.

Develop context-aware conversational AI solutions using prompt engineering best practices for our bots.

Can work with data scientists and engineering teams to integrate NLP models and align on AI capabilities and business needs.

Stays updated with the latest advancements in NLP, LLM fine-tuning and generative AI;

Has knowledge in documenting model performance, prompting libraries, and best practices for AI-driven bot conversations.

Provides training, mentorship and clear processes to the NLP designers on effective prompt engineering, NLP methodologies, LLM and generative AI solutions to bring the team next level.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Advanced experience in NLP and proficiency in working with LLMs and generative AI (good knowledge of possibilities and limitations);

Expertise in prompt engineering.

Mentorship skills (upskill actual team)

Previously already worked on chatbots, conversational AI.

Understanding of A/B testing, fine-tuning, and model evaluation metrics.

Basic knowledge of AI APIs (e.g. OpenAI), cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) and AI deployment best practices;

Good in data analysis and Excel

Dialogflow

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate AI findings/solutions to non-technical team members.

Good writing skills in Dutch or French (by preference both) and English.

Rigorous, and detailed-oriented mindset.

Tech-savvy.

Self-steering and solution oriented.

A good communicator, both with management and with peers.

Ability to work under pressure.

Experience with working in an agile context
