Privacy Compliance Specialist
Job description
Proximus is looking to temporarily reinforce its Data Protection Office with a highly skilled Privacy Compliance Specialist with a profile experienced in data protection and data protection management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You provide assistance in overseeing the company’s compliance with data protection legislation and potential risks of non-compliance to applicable data protection legislation and report about the findings to Proximus? executive level.
You analyze compliance of external parties with whom clients across the Proximus Group want to collaborate or has a partnership.
You provide internal clients across the Proximus Group with privacy compliance guidance on specific privacy business questions.
You assist in the further development of the privacy policy framework within the Group and the related guidelines, policies and procedures.
You provide input and support to the development and implementation of privacy awareness and training initiatives within the Proximus Group, and you take part in enhancing awareness of data protection through trainings, internal communications and other initiatives.
You prepare answers to requests from data subjects, official bodies and other stakeholders (DPA, BIPT, etc.)
You assist in data breaches management and related reporting to Proximus? executive level;
You provide assistance with respect to data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and you monitor the follow-up of the advice;
You provide assistance to internal clients across the Proximus Group in their Privacy impacting project to ensure Privacy compliance of data related projects.
You assist Proximus? affiliates in the Proximus Privacy governance process.
You contribute to the definition of the Proximus strategy in connection with the data valorization initiatives.
You monitor the evolution in data/privacy law and case law to translate it into compliance practices to reduce the risks of data breaches and of operational, contractual, administrative, judicial and reputational disputes.
Your profile:
You have a master's in law or a master's in information security (+ required certification in privacy: IAPP, CIPP etc.) or similar through experience and you have 3 to 5 years of professional experience, mainly in data protection and data security. Knowledge of / experience in the telecom sector is a plus;
You have excellent knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation and have active experience with GDPR implementation projects.
You have a digital mindset and are passionate about new developments in privacy and data regulation and business.
You have an interest in and an understanding of IT security.
You have strong critical, analytical and synthesis competences which enable you to solve complex problematics.
You are detail orientated with strong ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure.
You are hands-on, convincing, honest, agile, hardworking, result driven, able to work independently and disciplined.
You are recognized as team player, open-minded and diplomatic and you respect the principles of integrity and confidentiality in the performance of your role.
You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
