Job title: Sr. Service Engineer (VAS & OCS)

Job location: Brussels, Belgium

Job duration: 2025-12-01 to 2026-05-31 (possible extension)

Job weekly hours: 40 hrs./week

Role description:

Collaborate with engineers in the Value-Added Services Domain on Messaging Services, Service delivery platforms or on Online Charging System (OCS)

Core Responsibilities:

Expertise in the field of messaging services and/or Service delivery platforms or Expertise in Online Charging Platforms (Huawei or Nokia OCS) or expertise with security requirements and compliance for Value Added Services (VAS) platforms (e.g., NIS2, GDPR), including risk assessment, secure integration, and implementation of security upgrades.

Assess/develop design documentation from suppliers.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and Value-Added Services suppliers.

Ensure that the delivered products meet quality standards and requirements.

Support in testing new functionalities of Value-Added Services.

Provide technical support to internal teams regarding Value Added Services.

Participation in 24/7 on-call duty for critical incidents.

Profile/Required knowledge and experience

Knowledge (preferably) of application development and Low code platforms (SDP)

Basic telecommunications network technologies for VAS, such as IMS, SIP/ISC, Camel, INAP, MAP, Diameter (must have).

IT integration: SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, JSON, JavaScript, other web technologies (nice to have).

Experience with Agile way of working, or willing to learn it.

Experience with managing suppliers and/or third parties.

Knowledge of mobile networks such as 3GPP, 4G LTE, 5G and protocols such as CAP/Diameter/SBI.

Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and databases such as Oracle/MySQL/Postgres.?

Familiar with monitoring tools like Prometheus, SPLUNK, Elastic search.?

Analytical skills for problem-solving within the domain of Messaging/Service Delivery Platform services.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Proficiency in English is a must; Dutch and French is a plus.

Extra info:

Value added Services is key, experience with security (NIS2) is highly recommended

Experience in Telco business is a must
