Job description:

You work in the area responsible for application development, covering the definition of IT solutions for systems related to the activation of connectivity and services for telecom products available on the Proximus network to support business processes and ensure the quality, sustainability, and alignment of these solutions with the company's strategy.

In your role as a functional and technical analyst, you are responsible for translating the needs of the business and IT teams into functional and technical specifications.

Role and Responsibilities:

• You participate in functional and technical analysis of projects and enhancements.

• You acquire a good understanding of the business requirements and processes, to translate these into a robust solution design.

• You look for creative and simple solutions, and you provide clear, structured documentation for the users, as well for the development teams and testers.

• You participate in making project cost estimates and in identifying impact on IT architecture.

• You explain the solution to the development team and guide them through the development cycle.

• You report on the status of your work to the agile squad you belong to, and you identify potential risks.

• You provide support to the operations team in case of major incidents.

• You keep watching for new or alternative technology that can bring value.

• You will participate in defining the functional and technical architecture and best practices delivering highly scalable, available, secure and maintainable solutions.

Required competencies:

• You have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree (by preference in IT)

• You have knowledge of some of the following: UML, DevOps, agile development principles and methodologies (agile for tribes), continuous integration, automated testing and construction of microservices, SOA, REST SOAP, RDBMS, JAVA, cloud architecture, Oracle PL/SQL, MS Azure.

• Knowledge of standard models such as TM forum is considered an asset.

• Passive knowledge of telecommunication networks (copper, fiber optic, xDSL, Ethernet, Internet Protocol (IP)) is an advantage.

• You have knowledge with the IT lifecycle (analysis, development, testing).

• You have an analytical mindset, and you are assertive.

• You are solution-oriented, creative, with an open mind, and you embrace diversity.

• You place the customer at the center of your priorities.

• You enjoy communicating and collaborating with others.

• You are willing to learn.

• Good knowledge of English (oral and written) is required. French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
